Naughty Dog Says Another Uncharted Game “Unlikely”

The Uncharted series one of PlayStation’s most successful franchises looks like it’s potentially coming to an end, after selling more than 33 million copies globally.

The latest installment in the hit franchise, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End sold more than 8 million copies worldwide and won numerous game awards.

Nathan Drake, Main Protagonist of The Uncharted Series

Whilst speaking to Game Informer, Co-President of Naughty Dog Evan Wells said “I would say that Naughty Dog doing an Uncharted after [The Lost Legacy] is unlikely. I would never say never, but we’ve got The Last of Us Part II on our plates and there’s so much other stuff that [we want to explore]. It’d be hard. If we magically had that two-team, three-team studio, sure, it’d be great to keep doing it. We really love the franchise, but the studio has limited resources and lots of other ideas. I’d say the likelihood is low.”

I guess the next and maybe last time we’ll play an Uncharted game will be when stand alone expansion The Lost Legacy releases, although no release date is set in stone.
