In October 2016, Bandai Namco Entertainment released “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2″, a direct sequel to Dragon Ball Xenoverse. After being released, Bandai Namco continued to support it by releasing free patches, DLC, and paid DLC containing characters from the anime, Dragon Ball Super. The paid DLC has all been focused on adding Super characters in the following packs: DLC Pack 1: Frost, Cabba, DLC Pack 2: Vados, Champa, DLC Pack 3: Super Saiyan Rose Goku Black, Zamasu, and Bojack. Bojack, returning from “Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound” made a surprise appearance in DLC Pack 3. Today, Bandai Namco released news regarding the fourth DLC pack, which will have content from the same story-arc in DBS as Pack 3 did.
As of now, Merged Zamasu(The fusion of Goku Black and Zamasu) and Super Saiyan Blue Vegito are confirmed to be playable characters in Pack 4. Alongside showcasing Super Saiyan Blue Vegito, we were given our first look at Merged Zamasu and what his character brings to the table. Bandai Namco confirmed that there is more content that will be announced soon, as we push the month in which the DLC Pack is scheduled to release. Alongside the images that were released today, we see what appears to be a “tease” of the story-mode content that will be released alongside the DLC.
In regards to the “tease” that was revealed to the public, we’re shown two images that are tied directly to the story: Goku Black and Zamasu shown in a “Super-Villain” state, similar to how the Z villains were powered up over the course of the plot of DBXV2, and Trunks on the ground, appearing to be ready to transform. To the fans of the anime, you may be familiar with the scene, as they reproduced it 1:1 within the game. “Super Saiyan Rage” Trunks is not confirmed to be apart of the DLC yet, but the images seem to tease him a lot. While we do not know when Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC Pack 4 will release exactly, Bandai Namco confirmed that it will release in June and to stay tune for more announcements.
