Possible Leak for a Game of Thrones RPG by Bethesda?

Leaks are always exciting, until they prove to be exactly what they are, rumors. In this case, I have to entertain the idea of this leak being true.

NeoGAF seems to have spotted a page via American retailers online site, Target, that would suggest a possible upcoming Game of Thrones title being developed by Bethesda. Who else other than Bethesda would be a better fit for a fantasy driven RPG? A few, if I’m being completely honest.

Bethesda has ample experience with creating open world RPG’s, with most of them being in a similar setting to that of the timeline in GoT. The issue lies with the fact that Bethesda has been lacking in the story telling department lately. In a series that relies on compelling character development and dramatic story lines, it is hard to believe that Bethesda could truly do this the way it needed to be done. With that being said, this would likely be a better attempt than the pitiful showing of Tell Tale’s or Cyanide Studios’ versions.

Bethesda has not commented on the speculations or mishap on Target’s part. With Game of Thrones Season 7 coming to an end yesterday, it could be possible to hear some form of an announcement or teaser this year. Only time will tell if we will be able to explore Westeros on our consoles and PC’s some time soon.

How do you feel about a possible Game of Thrones title coming from Bethesda Studios? Let us know below!
