We all know the hit multiplayer mass battle game known as PlayerUnkowns’ Battlegrounds. On September 20th Brendan Greene, the man who is responsible for the game, had a Reddit AMA and spoke about some interesting topics concerning new vehicles for the games new map, and a single player campaign.
With endless questions being asked at this online event, Greene managed to give us some new information on a single player campaign. “I would love to add a single player campaign to the game,” says Greene after he was asked about features he would like to see in the game. “We just don’t have the time or resources for this at the moment!”. Later Greene reaffirmed on the games official Twitter that he “loves” the idea, but there are no present plans to make a single-player campaign.
Though this bit of news is unfortunate, the team does have the time for new vehicles that they plan on adding with the new map, which is on the way. (update) The first of of the three vehicles coming to the new map has been added and is a love bus!(OH YEAH!) On September 22nd Greene posted on Twitter a screenshot of this new vehicle coming to PUBG on what looked to be the new map. He did not, however, give us a date for us to anticipate this new vehicle to be dropped.
Another feature that he said he wanted to be added to the game was a division or placement system like CS:GO, Overwatch, League of Legends, and the similarly structured H1Z1. Greene spoke of this and Character leveling systems, “We do have plans to add systems like this,” says Greene. “We also want to add a character leveling system and weapon skill systems (that doesn’t affect game-play) and other progression systems. We’ll have more info on these once we get a chance to fully plan them out.”
