Sony teased last week that Paris Games Week was going to be full of “big announcements,” and at first I thought they were just getting fans hyped up, but boy was I wrong. Paris Games Week was full of new surprise trailers and announcements from the gaming giant. Here is all the major announcements from Sony’s event that you should not miss!
The Last of Us Part 2 Trailer
The new trailer is absolutely brilliant as it features all new never before seen characters, and some very intense moments that can be hard to watch. We can only speculate at this point, but the lady being dragged could be Ellie’s mother in a flashback sequence. One thing is for sure though, The Last of Us Part 2 is not going to hold back on making the player feel uncomfortable.
God of War Gameplay Trailer
The latest trailer for the upcoming action title shows off some new gameplay, and sets a release window. The trailer features some very unique combat, as the players seems to have a plethora of options at their disposal when choosing how to defeat their enemies. The trailer also shows off some nice father son dialogue, that should allow players to know what to expect when God of War releases early 2018, as a PS4 exclusive.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Teaser Trailer
The latest trailer gives fans a glimpse of the narrative that Insomniac games has created. This time the city seems to be in good shape as Wilson Fisk is seen getting locked up in the trailer, but things seem to soon take a turn for the worst. With the already fantastic gameplay demo that was released this year at E3, and this exciting look at the game’s story, fans of the web slinging hero should be more excited than ever for the upcoming title. Spider-Man will release as a PS4 exclusive sometime next year!
Sucker Punch Productions Announces Ghost of Tsushima
Many of us were wondering what Sucker Punch was up to as the last title we saw from them was Infamous: Second Son in 2014. Well know we know, it is a new IP in Ghost of Tsushima, a samurai title set in Japan during the year of 1274. The title is an open-world action game that sees players trying to win back control of Japan. There is no release window for Ghost of Tsushima, but I would expect late 2018 to early 2019 at best.
Detroit: Become Human Trailer
Out of all the trailers and announcements this one really caught my eye as it showed off a very interesting story and how your choices can actually affect the outcome. The trailer focuses on an abusive father who treats his daughter terribly, and you must choose how to escape with the daughter. There are many choices for the player to choose and no character is safe, as it shows multiple outcomes of the narrative throughout the trailer. Detroit: Become Human releases sometime next year, as yet another PS4 exclusive.
Shadow of the Colossus Trailer
The latest trailer for the remake, shows off how gorgeous the game looks on the PS4 Pro. If you missed out on this gem back on the PS2, then you should give it a shot when it hits the console this upcoming February. Shadow of the Colossus for the PS4 hits the system on February 6, 2018.

The trailer from Paris Games Week, focuses on a new region, the Rotten Vale, which will get increasingly dangerous the further players venture into the region. Covered in skeletons and deceased monsters, the Rotten Vale will include unique and dangerous monsters for the player to hunt down. Monster Hunter World, releases on January 26 on Xbox and PS4, with the PC release date set for later in the year.
Call of Duty: WWII Carentan Trailer
The beloved map from the series is back as Carentan makes its return. The trailer shows off some fast paced gameplay, as well as some a player mowing down enemies from a plane. Of course this is an Activision game, so if you want the Carentan map you will not only have to cough up the $59.99, but you will also have to purchase the season pass. Guacamelee 2 Announcement Trailer
The sequel to the acclaimed Guacamelee was announced. This time around the game will feature four player co-op, as well as a grappling hook. Guacamelee 2 looks to be just as fun and crazy as the first title when it hits shelves on the PS4, and as for a release window the developers have stated the game will release “soon-ish”.
Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis Trailer
The trailer shows off some nice gamelay that features a grappling hook, as well as what looks to be the best story of the DLC expansion packs so far. Episode Ignis seems to have an interesting narrative behind it that focuses on Ignis and what he will do to protect Noctis. Episode Ignis looks to be the best DLC yet for FFXV, when it releases on December 13, for PS4 and Xbox.

This time around players take control of fan favorite, Chris Redfield. The game takes place after the events of RE7, and players must control the outbreak. Not a Hero, will play differently than RE7, as the playable character is actually experienced and has access to tactical weapons. Resident Evil 7 Not a Hero will be free and playable in PSVR, and will release this December.
