Nintendo Switch adds Hulu to eShop today

In a recent update from Hulu, they have announced that their streaming service will go live for the Nintendo Switch starting today.

Richard Irving, Vice President of Product for Hulu, confirmed this in the blog post, stating “We are very proud to announce that Hulu is the first US streaming entertainment service to debut on Nintendo Switch! Beginning later today, Hulu subscribers will now be able to use their Nintendo Switch to stream all of their favorite TV whether they’re at home or on the go.”

This is the first streaming service to become available on the Nintendo Switch eShop since the initial launch of the console. With Hulu making the first move in joining as an eShop application, there could be a possibility for more streaming services to become available. With a portable gaming and streaming device all in one package, this should give skeptics all the more reason to take a look at acquiring the system.

This is welcome news for many Nintendo Switch owners. Nintendo has been increasing content and applications for their eShop in recent weeks following the huge successes of their hit game Mario Odyssey.

What is next for the gaming giant?
