Croteam has announced that they will be releasing a new entry into the Serious Sam series, Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass, along with showing off a short teaser trailer. The Croatian based development team are behind the previous entry Serious Sam 3: BFE which was released in 2011 to positive reception among fans and critics.
The announcement was made via the Reboot Development 2018 conference and showed off the new trailer, which highlights a motorcycle ride through the country and casually blasting some enemies. Not much information other than the announcement was given at the time, but the case could be made from the trailer that the team is heading in the direction of an open-world setting. That combined with some updated graphics for next-gen consoles should provide a new experience for fans of the series.
The game is only currently listed on Steam, which may imply that some form of temporary exclusivity is in the works. More information will be released at this years E3 expo, so stay tuned for more information as we hear about it.
