Created by Korean developer DeerFarm, Shikhondo- Soul Eater is a top-down danmaku-style game where you battle demons from Asian mythologies while trying to avoid intricate bullet patterns. Now, for the first time, you’ll be able to fight demons with a friend, as all three versions will feature a cooperative mode.
Shikhondo was released on Steam on October 10th, and has 90% positive reviews. The console version will contain the arcade version present in the PC version, a hardcore mode, a boss rush, and a local co-op mode. There’s also an online leaderboard for you arcade junkies out there, as well as achievements in the PS4 and Xbox One versions. You can play as two characters with different playstyles, who will hopefully complement each other on cooperative plays.
The PS4 version will release on June 22nd (that’s tomorrow!), and the Xbox One and Switch versions are coming (soon), although no date has been confirmed. The full trailer for Shokhondo- Soul Eater can be seen right here:
