Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Features 103 Stages

The Super Smash Bros. Direct today revealed that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will feature a total of 103 stages in total.

Nintendo confirmed that the majority of these will be returning fan favorites. Some of those returning stages include:

  • Pokemon Stadium
  • Garden of Hope (Pikmin)
  • Brinstar Depths (Metroid)
  • Summit (Ice Climber)
  • Unova Pokemon League
  • Magicant (EarthBound)
  • Gamer (Wario Ware)
  • Final Destination

Alongside those, Nintendo revealed a brand new stage based off of New Donk City from Super Mario Odyssey. This takes place at the City Hall that is featured in New Donk City. It also includes an appearance by Pauline.

All 103 stages in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate also have Battlefield and Omega versions, effectively bringing the stage count up to more than 300.

Nintendo also showed off a new feature where one stage can morph into another. At the beginning of a match, you have the option to choose a second stage. That first stage will then morph into the second one at a random point in the match.

Nintendo is adding a load of content to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. King K. Rool, as well as Simon and Richter Belmont from Castlevania also were announced for the game today.
