It has been two and a half months since Dark Souls Remastered was released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Today we finally got information on when the game will release for Nintendo Switch after a delay in April. Dark Souls Remastered will come to Nintendo Switch on October 19, alongside the Solaire of Astora amiibo. The date was confirmed via a tweet from Bandai Namco’s US Twitter account.
There will also be an online network test prior to the game’s release. This will give players the chance to try the game, as well as test out the multiplayer aspects. Although, with Nintendo Switch’s paid online service launching in September, paying for the service will likely be required in order to experience the multiplayer of Dark Souls Remastered.

An October release date for the Nintendo Switch port is a good slot, as it appears to be a fairly dry time for new Switch releases. However, the Solaire of Astora amiibo will likely sell out very quickly, so be sure to pre-order it if you are keen to get your hands on one.
