Today, August 15, is the last day Xbox Live Gold members can get their two ‘Games with Gold’ titles for July: Dead Space 3 and Death Squared.
Dead Space 3 is the third game in the hit series from the now-defunct studio Visceral Games. It blends survival horror with third-person shooting and action.
Death Squared is a co-op puzzle game that tasks players to solve puzzles whilst playing as coloured cubes.
The Games that will still be available for Games With Gold for the rest of August include Forza Horizon 2 and For Honor on Xbox One and Disney’s Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two on Xbox One Backwards Compatibility and Xbox 360.
Visceral Games was shut down by EA in October of last year, drastically changing the direction of their Star Wars project. EA appears to be moving away from single-player experiences. Inspired by this, one of our writers Brandon Pero asks if single-player games have a future in the industry.
I am a lover of story-driven experiences, such as Life is Strange. As a keen PlayStation fan, I spend too much of my time collecting Trophies for no discernable reason. The moments where I am not wasting time on a trophy hunt are spent sharing my enthusiasm for games through writing.
