Far Cry 5’s Final DLC Gets A Release Date

Far Cry 5’s Final DLC, Dead Living Zombies, has been given a release date. The DLC will launch on August 28, per a press release, accompanying a teaser trailer for the DLC.

The DLC manages to include zombies in the Far Cry universe, just how the second DLC, Lost on Mars, introduced Aliens. This time the context is that you are in 7 different zombie-filled movie scenarios that Guy Marvel, a B-List director from the main game, is filming scenes for. One of those scenarios includes Romeo and Juliet, in which Romeo is a zombie. The “seven different scenarios” seems to hint at a variety of maps to play on with Zombies coming in a round-based system, like the Call of Duty games.

The end of the trailer also teases the return of the titular Blood Dragons from the Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon DLC. Finally, this DLC is likely to add more weapons and items to the game, as that was done for the Lost on Mars and Hours of Darkness DLCs.

Far Cry 5’s Dead Living Zombies DLC releases on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 28. It is available as part of the Season Pass or individually.

Far Cry 5 was received very well both critically and commercially. To see what we thought of Far Cry 5 check out our review here.
