Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4: All 55 Backpack Locations

Marvel’s Spider-Man’s version of New York City is filled with collectables and small tasks for you to complete. One of those tasks involves retrieving Peter’s old backpacks that he had to leave when he went to fight crime. There are 55 backpacks located throughout New York City and finding all of them will unlock a new suit for Peter. Finding each one will also grant you the resource of Backpack Tokens to buy new suits and upgrade Peter’s equipment. We have a full guide on the locations of all of these backpacks, separated into districts of the city:

Financial District Backpacks – 9 Total

 

Here is a map of all the backpacks in the financial district as well as the order that they are shown in this guide.

The first backpack can be found at the southern end of this district. It is located on the roof of a building, standing on its own in a field. This holds the Hygiene Kit.

The second backpack is located at the end of a walkway overlooking the ocean. It is on the back side of a wall. This backpack holds a Locket.

The third backpack is located on a wall, right by a rooftop garden. Perch on the edge of the roof and you will see the backpack and be able to web it. This one holds Aunt May’s Wheatcake Recipe.

This one is halfway up the wall of the Theater. Perch on the sign and then web the backpack when you are close enough. Inside this one is Peter’s ESU Badge.

This backpack is at the top of a stack of cars being stored on the side of a building. Web up to the beam and right on the wall, next to the bottom right of the billboard is the backpack, which holds Electrician Gloves.

This one is at the top of a brown building with a lot of glass windows. Right next to a ventilation system, the backpack can be found. This one holds a Self-Help Book.

The seventh backpack is found on the roof of a tunnel walkway. Web up to it with L2 and R2 or wall climb. It holds Peter’s Science Trophy.

The next one is at the top of the church. Web up to the top and perch on it to grab the backpack holding the Dumpling Recipe.

The final backpack in the Financial District is on a lamppost along the road. It holds a Graphing Calculator.


Chinatown Backpacks – 6 Total

 

The first backpack in Chinatown will naturally be earned through the story, it is picked up during the mission Keeping The Peace and holds the First Date Menu.

So, here is a map of the remaining 5 backpacks and the order they are shown in this guide.

The first backpack in the open world is on top of a skyscraper stuck to a radar dish. Web up to collect it and the Nightclub VIP Card.

The next one is on the building, next to the logo for the H.E.A.R.T Clinic. It holds one of Peter’s Hospital Bills.

The third backpack is halfway up the outer wall of a shop. It is next to a fan. Wall climb to it to find the “Thank Yout” Drawing.

The next backpack is in a back alley on a wall with graffiti. Inside is a plushie of Spider-Man.

The final Chinatown backpack is on a corner post of a clock tower. Perch on the bronze post and you can web the backpack to collect a failed prototype of the web fluid.


Greenwich Backpacks – 6 Total

 

Here is a map of all the backpacks in Greenwich and the order they are shown in this guide.

The first backpack is halfway up the wall of a building, wall climb to it, allowing you to get an Oscorp Visitor Pass.

The second backpack is found on a balcony, underneath a large solar panel. It contains one of Peter’s Selfies.

The next backpack is behind a billboard, on the wall. It holds some Arm Webs.

The backpack after that is behind a wall with barbed wire, just off of the main road. In this one is a Pizza Delivery Hat.

The fifth backpack is on a pillar, next to a flight of stairs. This one contains one of Peter’s Classic Web Shooters.

The final backpack in Greenwich is on the roof of a tall building. This one contains a Prom Flower.


Hell’s Kitchen Backpacks – 7 Total

 

Here is a map of all the backpacks in Hell’s Kitchen, as well as the order they are shown in the guide.

The first backpack is on the roof of a church in the back corner. This one contains one of Vulture’s cracked Lenses.

The second one is underneath a bridge, high up on a wall and contains the Vulture Jammer.

The next backpack is on a crane by the docks. It is on the far edge. Perch on the crane beams to web the backpack and collect The Lizard’s Blood.

This backpack is on the roof of a building at the end of the long row of fans. This backpack holds one of Peter’s Physics Books.

The fifth backpack is stuck to the swinging pendulum of the yellow crane. Perch on the pendulum to grab the backpack and an article, which was inside it.

The next backpack is in a tunnel that the train goes through. Inside the backpack is an Old Cellphone.

The final backpack in Hell’s Kitchen is on the back of the building on the docks. Wall climb onto the wall to grab the backpack and the Old Glasses which were inside of it.


Midtown Backpacks – 11 Total

 

Here is a map of all the backpack locations in Midtown as well as the order they are shown in this guide.

The first backpack is halfway up a building next to a picture of Black Cat. This one contains Yuri’s Contact Info.

The second backpack is in between two buildings, on the wall. Wall climb up to it to grab it and the Knuckle Duster.

The next backpack is in-between a complex of buildings. It is halfway up of the brown building, in a corner, and holds Peter’s Apartment Application.

The next backpack is at the top of a building, inside the green structure. This backpack holds a fragment of Rhino’s Horn.

The fifth backpack is on the roof of a tunnel for traffic. Aim with L2 and then web to the roof to grab the backpack. Inside you will find a Snow Globe.

This next one is underneath a bridge, on the supports. Perch on the light in order to grab the backpack and collect one of Peter’s ticket to a Basketball game.

This backpack is easy to find, wall run to the top of the building and it will be on the roof. Inside this one is a T-Shirt from Peter’s time at High School.

The eighth backpack is once again at the top of a building. However, this time it is in the opening between the two sides of the roof. This one contains one of Peter’s Job Applications.

The next backpack is at the top of the building, right in the centre of the roof. It holds a piece of Shocker’s Suit.

The tenth backpack is at the top of this building. It is found on the outer wall of the room that the billboards are encasing.

The last backpack in Midtown is halfway up the wall of the building. This final one contains a Spider-Tracer.


Upper East Side Backpacks – 3 Total

 

Here is a map of the three backpacks and the order they are shown in this guide.

The first backpack is not actually on ground level in the park. Swing over the water and underneath you will see a car park. On a wall in the corner is the backpack which holds a Magnet.

The second backpack is at the top of Avenger’s Tower on the wall. Inside is a Vial of Sand. As a quick note, if you perch at the top of the pillar that the backpack is on you will earn yourself a trophy.

The third backpack is on the roof of the building overlooking Central Park. This final one holds Peter’s Old Camera.


Central Park Backpacks – 2 Total

 

Here is a map of both the backpacks and the order we show them in this guide.

The first one is on top of a small building in the park. This backpack contains a Wrestling Flyer.

The second backpack is underneath a small bridge. It contains a Portable Game Device.


Upper West Side Backpacks – 5 Total

 

Here is a map of the backpacks and the order they are shown in this guide.

The first backpack is on the backside of a building complex. This one contains a Goold Luck Card.

The second backpack is on the roof of a small building, next to a ventilation system. Inside this backpack is a Keychain

This one is on a lamppost. Perch up to it to collect the backpack and the stealth fragment inside.

The fourth backpack is on the glass roof of the single building. Inside is a Bottle of Spices.

The fifth backpack is high up on the wall of the entrance to the building. This backpack holds one of MJ’s articles.


Harlem Backpacks – 6 Total

 

Here is a map of the backpacks in Harlem and the order they are shown in this guide.

The first backpack is just off the main road, in the corner. This backpack holds sketches of Peter’s Spider Logo.

The second logo is high up on the wall of the building. Either wall climb to it or perch on the rooftop to collect the backpack and the Comic Book inside.

The next backpack is in a back alley, behind a dumpster. This particular backpack has a fragment of Mysterio’s Helmet.

This backpack is just above the door of a house. The backpack holds a pin for the Spidey Squad fan club.

The fifth backpack is once again in a back alley, behind a dumpster. This one contains a Business Card for the Lawyers Nelson and Murdock, who are Matthew Murdock, also known as Daredevil, and his friend Foggy Nelson.

The final backpack is at the top of a smokestack. So, either perch on the top or wall climb up the stack. Inside this final backpack is the Spider-Signal.


After collecting all 55 of these backpacks you will unlock a new suit for Spider-Man. That suit is the Homemade Suit and is from the movie Spider-Man Homecoming.
