After releasing on other consoles a week ago to… reception, it’s time for the adaptation of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part to make its way to the Nintendo Switch. The sequel to the original The LEGO Movie tells the story of Emmet going on a journey to rescue his friends from
his owner’s sister’s room the sistar system after they were kidnapped. The story begins in apocalypseburg, and the game has you journey through a number of worlds, each ending with a massive-scale boss fight. In order to progress, you need to use Emmet’s newfound skill of breaking objects in order to retrieve studs and bricks, the later of which you’ll need to collect to bring to others.
Free bonus content will also be released across all platforms in April, called “Galactic Adventures” (no, not that one). This adds levels in locations like Dis-Harmony city, the Queen’s Palace, and Rex’s ship. The exact release date has yet to be announced, but it will be free across all systems.
The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame has an MSRP of 39.99 USD, and currently sits at an average of 61.5% on metacritic (55% on PS4 and 68% on Xbox One), and physical copies for the Switch version are available now.
