Switch Lite Pokémon Edition Coming in November

With the announcement of the Switch Lite comes the announcement of the Pokémon Switch Lite. Pokémon Sword and Shield come out on November 15 of this year, and Nintendo has given us the following look at a version of the new Switch Lite Zacian and Zamazenta Edition, releasing November 8.

At first glance, it’s easy to see that the console sports a lighter gray color and multi-colored joysticks and buttons. However, the shining stars are on the backside. Some beautiful etchings of Zacian and Zamazenta are proudly posted on the back of it and give the theme its charm.

I can hear the excitement peaking across the world, so before anybody gets any ideas, no, this is not a bundle with Pokémon Sword and Shield (how boss would that be, though?). This is simply just a thematic styling of the Nintendo Switch Lite.

Considering it will cost the same $199.99 as the Switch Lite, the Zacian and Zamazenta Edition seems like a no-brainer for any Pokémon fans looking for a more portable way of playing Game Freak’s latest installment of the series. The catch is that this edition comes more than a month after the initial release of the Switch Lite on September 20. If you can wait, I think it’s well worth it. If you must have your Switch Lite on launch… then buy two!

Nintendo Switch Lite with Zelda

Switch Lite pre-order pages will be going live soon enough, and the Zacian and Zamazenta Edition won’t be far behind. Are you looking for more information about the Nintendo Switch Lite and how it stacks up to the traditional, $300 Switch? We got you! There are plenty of drawbacks and benefits that we detail in our recent article.

Let us know on the @SickCritic Twitter if you’re planning on purchasing it and what games you’re looking to play on the new console!
