Dead Cells Content Update 13 Out For Consoles

A new Dead Cells content update, lovingly dubbed Update the 13th by developer Motion Twins, is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch (it was previously released for PC). The shiny content update primarily focuses on a multitude of balancing tweaks, bug fixes, and a variety of changes based on community feedback that Motion Twin received. The developer has been incredibly open to community feedback, incorporating a plethora of changes based on fans’ requests. They’ve also made minor graphical and musical changes throughout the game, making it just a bit prettier to look at and listen to.

You can check out the full patch notes for the 13th Dead Cells content update on the official website for the game. They’re really long, so make sure you have the time to read them before you click the link (I mostly just skipped past cause there are so many; sue me).

You can also read through our original Sick Critic Dead Cells review if you’re still unsure about buying the game.

Rise of the Giant DLC

Recently, Motion Twin released the Rise of the Giant DLC on all platforms, including Nintendo Switch. This was a more significant update and added a few new game modes, spicy weapons, gnarly enemies, and even a whole boss to the already challenging game. If you missed out on the huge content update, you can check out the trailer for the latest DLC down below. Also be sure to check out Dead Cells: How to Survive Early On if you’re new to the game and need some pointers.

Are you still playing Dead Cells or have you yet to pick up the rogue-like platformer? Maybe this update will get you back into playing the punishing indie game. Share your experiences with the game down in the comments!
