OK KO and Sonic Crossover coming to Cartoon Network

Sega is always happy to experiment with Sonic the Hedgehog, and early next month on 4th August, Sonic and Miles “Tails” Prower will be appearing on Cartoon Network’s animated series, OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes.

The news was revealed at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con. Here is the official Twitter announcement. As you can see in the video, the brief clip if filled with tons of sonic references. The episode is called “Let’s meet Sonic” and will feature the blue hedgehog and his tailed companion team up with KO and save the day! If you’re unfamiliar with OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes, it’s about an enthusiastic young boy who earns a job at a hero supply store and trains to become the greatest hero ever.

This isn’t the first time Cartoon Network’s OK K.O. Let’s Be Heroes has touched anything games-related. While the series has been known to frequently reference classic video games, it has actually had a game of its own called OK K.O. Let’s Play Heroes back in 2018. While it’s unclear exactly what the group might get up to in the episode, it has been confirmed that Roger Craig Smith and Colleen O’Shaughnessey will voice Sonic and Tails, respectively.

What do you think of the crossover episode? Are you looking forward to seeing animated Sonic and Tails, back in action? Let us know in the comments below!
