Gary Whitta, writer for games like Telltale’s The Walking Dead, Halo 5: Guardians, and Prey and movies like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, The Book of Eli, and After Earth, was announced as the keynote speaker for PAX West 2019 today.
Whitta will kick off one of the biggest gaming events on Friday, August 30 at 10:00 AM PST with a keynote speech covering his colorful career dating back to the 1980s and 1990s, a time during which he was a lustrous game journalist and helped establish PC Gamer. He would take over as editor-in-chief of the publication until 2000. Currently, he makes appearances on Kinda Funny Games Daily as a co-host. His most recent work has been as a writing consultant for The Walking Dead: The Final Season.
PAX West is already set up to be a spectacular expo this year with companies like Sony, Bungie, Ubisoft, Google, and Capcom taking up space in the exhibitor halls and literally hundreds of events and panels going on at all hours, including the Gearbox Main Theater Show where we should hear more about Borderlands 3 and a panel for Cyberpunk 2077.
Sick Critic will be at PAX West, so from August 30 to September 2, be on the lookout for exclusive interviews and news straight from Seattle, Washington.
