Luigi’s Mansion 3 – PAX West 2019

PAX West had many exciting games and booths to experience, but what had Nintendo fans most excited was Luigi’s Mansion 3. We had the pleasure and opportunity to play the demo available. Developed by Next Level Games and published by Kensuke Tanabe, this title is set to release on October 31 of this year on the Nintendo Switch.

The story behind Luigi’s Mansion 3 is intriguing. Luigi goes on a relaxing vacation with all of his friends when things turn into a spooky and gooey situation. Mario and friends get kidnapped by King Boo and his cohorts leaving you to try and rescue your friends-and what’s left of your vacation. Playing as Luigi, you are equipped with the Poltergeist-00 to blow away ghastly figures and beat them up with the help of your partner, Gooigi. With Gooigi’s help, you are able to cross over dangerous spikes and get to hard to reach places. This game offers single-player and two-player action, where one player controls Luigi and the other controls Gooigi.

The demo we played was roughly 15 minutes long and gave us a chance to experience all the aspects of the game in such a short time. Completion of the level and defeating the boss, we were rewarded with pins of Luigi and a ghost buddy. You can see for yourself our off-the-shoulder footage on our youtube channel below.

Are any of you excited for the new game? Tell us anything you hope to see in Luigi’s Mansion 3 in the comment section below! Happy Hunting!
