Fire Emblem: Three Houses is one of the biggest games currently on the Nintendo Switch, and its first major DLC pack adds a whole new layer to the game. Cindered Shadows sends the player deep into the tunnels beneath Garreg Mach where the Ashen Wolves, a house “in name only” live. In their worlds, the world turned their back on them, and they did the same in return. They’re “eager students with no teacher”, and if Byleth so chooses, they can choose to teach the Ashen Wolves and validate them as a house. The full trailer can be seen below:
The Ashen Wolves consist of four students: Yuri, Balthus, Constance, and Hapi, all of whom have a crest. If you want more information on them as units, a reddit post has synthesized everything you’ll need. Cindered Shadows won’t add anything more to the main story, and the Ashen Wolves plot will not affect the main story. The details of their story are currently unknown, but we’ll find out on the February 12th release date. Cindered Shadows will cost $25.
