A release date for Nintendo Switch’s online service has finally been dated by Nintendo. Nintendo Switch Online will launch in the second half of September this year but will continue to be free until then. The online service will be required to play games online when it arrives. It will also give access to 20 NES games (with more coming down the line) with online functionality. There will be cloud saves, special deals, and more.
When the service launches later next month, it will be priced at $19.99 for 12 months, $7.99 for three months, and $3.99 for one month. There is also the option to buy a family plan for $34.99 a year.
