ABZU, by developer Giant Squid, is now available for the Nintendo Switch. ABZU is marketed as a “beautiful underwater journey” in a “vibrant ocean world… bursting with life”. You get to discover hundreds of unique species, and “form a powerful connection with the abundant sea life”. As you can see from the trailer below, the art style is absolutely gorgeous.
The lead developer has previously worked on the cult favorite Journey, and after ABZU‘s release in 2016, it was awarded Best Original Score, and nominated for Best Original Game and Best Art Direction. It’s PS4 point sits at a comfortable 78% on metacritic, and its PC and XBOX One ports both have an 83%. You can buy ABZU on the Nintendo eShop right now for 19.99 USD.
