SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech, coming 2019. This is a card-based RPG by Image & Form games, which takes place in a hand-drawn steampunk world.
Unruly Heroes, available now. Inspired by Journey to the West, Magic Design Studios brings us an action-adventure game with up to 4 player co-op, as well as a PVP mode.
Goat Simulator, available now. Yes, it is 2019.
When Ski Lifts Go Wrong, available now. Hugecalf Studios brings us a physics-based puzzle game with over 100 levels, as well as a sandbox mode in which to build your own.
Wargroove, available 2/1/2019. Here’s a turn-based strategy game (about time we got more of those) from Chucklefish where you can pick from different commanders with different special attacks. There’s a full campaign mode (duh), four player local multiplayer, and a level creator.
Double Kick Heroes, coming this summer. Headbang Club’s heavy metal zombie apocalypse rhythm game shoot-em-up has been on steam in Early access since April, and currently has a “very positive” rating. The Switch port will feature over 30 original songs to play through, as well as licensed tracks.
Inmost, coming 2019. Hidden layer games brings us a dark puzzle platformer where you play as three characters across two worlds with an aesthetic so captivating, I had to make it the feature image.
Crosscode, coming 2019. This is Radical Fish Games’s 2D action RPG, which currently sits at a “very positive” rating on Steam. Radical Fish promises fast-paced combat system and engaging puzzles, and evidently delivered.
Forager, coming “soon”. HopFrog’s 2D open world game offers a sandbox environment with combat, farming, exploring, and building.
The presentation (which you can watch below) certainly has me excited for 2019.
