Mass Effect: Andromeda Sweeps top spot in UK charts

Ghost Recon Wildlands has spent the past two weeks sitting pretty on top of the UK sales charts, but that’s no more. EA’s Mass Effect: Andromeda has sweeped in to take this weeks top spot.

Mass Effect: Andromeda released to very mixed reviews and players were sharing clips of glitches and bugs within the game, mainly the facial animations of the characters. However that hasn’t stopped the game from taking the top spot in the UK’s game sales chart this week.

Game play of Mass Effect: Andromeda

The game which is the third biggest launch this year behind Ghost Recon Wildands and Horizon: Zero Dawn, this news will surely make the folks over at EA & Bioware very happy.

However despite the strong sales of Mass Effect: Andromeda, the game could not eclipse the sales of Mass Effect 3 during the same time period.

According to Chart-Track, 55% of all Mass Effect: Andromeda sales were on PlayStation 4, whilst 41% of players purchased the game for Xbox One and the remaining 4% purchased the game for PC.

Despite the mixed reviews, occasional glitches, and crazy bugs, Mass Effect: Andromeda will always be a chart smasher.
