It’s already March, This year is flying by. I thought it would be a good time to discuss my most anticipated games for the remainder of 2017.
Now please excuse the absence of Horizon: Zero Dawn and Zelda: Breath of the Wind, both games would have made it onto this list if I would have released it two weeks earlier.
Firstly I would like to mention all of the games which will be listed below have been stated to be released in 2017, albeit without a definitive release date.
Secondly, I would just like to point out that these games are what I’m anticipating the most, I hope you’re looking forward to them too, I’m sure you are because we’re all gamers, and we love great games.

#15 -Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands
Platform(s): PS4, Xbox One, PC
Release date: March 7, 2017
Wildlands is my 15th most anticipated game of the year, I like the look of the game from what we’ve seen so far. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to play the beta. But I’ve seen plenty of game play and I love the option of a silent stealthier approach or all guns blazing. The game look’s like a better Divsion which I’d like to point out isn’t a bad thing. The multiplayer aspect of this game is what will sell copies, and is the main reason why I’m looking forward to this, playing online with my friends. Hopefully the servers can hold up.
#14 – Guardians of the Galaxy – The Telltale series

Release date: TBC
Telltale is mostly known for their adaption of The Walking Dead, but it’s their latest game Guardians of The Galaxy that has me excited, Telltale announced a partnership with Marvel for several projects, and with Guardians coming first who knows what the future holds for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Telltale. The release date hasn’t been confirmed as yet but heavy rumours suggest the game will appear around the same time as the film. April 2017.
#13 – Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice

Release date: TBC
The story is based on Celtic mythology. The game is focused on Senua’s point of view, as she embarks on a very personal journey through a hellish underworld made up of Senua’s psychotic manifestations of her own reality and mind
The game is made by developer Ninja Theory the guys behind DmC: Devil May Cry so its safe to say the can make great games. I like what I’ve seen from the trailers for this game and it’s intruiging. I’m looking forward to it and playing through Senua’s story.
#12 – South Park: The Fractured But Whole
Platform(s): PS4, Xbox One, PC
Release date: TBC
The game has been plagued with delays but that won’t stop me, South Park: The Fractured But Whole is the sequel to 2014’s South Park: The Stick of Truth. This time round you’re running around town as Super Hero’s. The game has been delayed twice now and has a release window of April 2017-2018, Hopefully we can see this game sooner rather than later.
#11 – Vampyr
Platform(s): PS4, Xbox One, PC
Release date: TBC
Vampyr, is an action-RPG from Life is Strange studio Dontnod Entertainment. You take on the role of Jonathan E. Reid a vampire who is also a doctor, faced with an incredible hunger from blood your choices will determine if you’re battling Vampire slayers or hiding your true identity.
#10 – State of Decay 2
Platform(s): Xbox One, PC
Release date: TBC
State of Decay 2, the sequel to the 2013 zombie survival game will be coming sometime in 2017, I played the first game for countless hours and loved every second of it. Scavenging for food and items whilst running from herds of zombies was thoroughly enjoyable. Given the circumstances that is.
#9 – Sea of Thieves

Release date: TBC
Sea of Thieves is an open-world multiplayer game from Rare where you roam the sea’s as a swashbuckling pirate…-Ahhh! The game focuses on Co-op and with endless opportunities to go treasure hunting for gold with your online buddies who wouldn’t be excited?
#8 – Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
Platform(s): PS4
Release date: TBC
Uncharted, is one of PlayStation’s most decorated franchises. And features Beautiful cinematics and great game play. This stand alone expansion will release sometime in 2017 , The game will star both Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross from Uncharted 4. The story will take place in India, where Chloe seeks the Tusk of Ganesha. The premise sounds interesting. Any Uncharted fan should be pumped for this!
#7 – Days Gone
Platform(s): PS4
Release date: TBC
Days Gone is one of the brand-new titles which was announced by Sony at their E3 briefing in 2016, the game is an open-world survival adventure game. And look’s absolutely gorgeous, and scary at the same time. Not like your typical Zombie survival game, these zombies have super speed and don’t stop.
The release date hasn’t been confirmed as of yet but it’s rumored to be some time in 2017.
#6 – Destiny 2
Platform(s): PS4, Xbox One
Release date: 2017
Activision confirmed in an investor presentation in February that a sequel to Bungie’s Destiny was due some time in 2017. When Destiny first launched I was underwhelmed, I completed the campaign within hours and didn’t really have anything to pull me back to the game… Queue several months later and the release of some fantastic expansions and I was right back into it. All of fall is circled on my calendar as I eagerly await the release of this one.
#5 – Spider-Man

Release date: TBC 2017
If you didn’t already know, Insomniac games the team behind Ratchet & Clank are developing a PlayStation exclusive Spider-Man game. Hopefully the game will resemble The Batman Arkham games in terms of quality. If it does, PlayStation are sure onto a winner here.
#4 – God of War
Platform(s): PS4
Release date: TBC
Sony started their E3 briefing last year with God of War, an indication of how big this game is going to be, The game is a fresh take on the series. Kratos has a son? It will be interesting to see how this game unfolds but I’m really looking forward to it. Hopefully we’ll get to play this before the year is out.
#3 – Crash Bandicoot: The N.sane Trilogy

Release date: 30th of June
Crash Bandicoot is making his way back to PlayStation on the 30th of June, and I cannot wait. Announced at Sony’s E3 briefing last year, The N.Sane Trilogy will feature Crash Bandicoot, Crash 2 and Warped.
#2 – Red Dead Redemption 2

Release date: Fall 2017
Without doubt the most exciting and shocking news from 2016 was the announcement of Red Dead Redemption 2, and that it will be arriving on consoles late in 2017.
We don’t know much about Red Dead Redemption 2 just yet. But we’re certain to get more answers in June for E3.
#1 – Mass Effect: Andromeda
Platform(s): PS4, Xbox One, PC
Release date: NA: 21st March 2017
Mass Effect: Andromeda is the latest game in the Mass Effect franchise, the game will be set 600 years after the original trilogy as humans are leaving the Milky Way and heading to the Andromeda galaxy to find a new home for humanity. You will play as either Scott or Sara Ryder, the game play looks much improved from the Mass Effect 3 days, and the cutscenes have been greatly improved. As a huge Mass Effect fan there wasn’t any doubt that this is my most anticipated game of 2017.
