Cadence of Hyrule Gets a Free Demo

Zelda fans rejoice! Nintendo just announced a free demo for Cadence of Hyrule, the excellent rhythm-based Legend of Zelda/Crypt of the NecroDancer crossover game that’s a lot better than it has any right to be. The best part is, the demo is available to play right now in all regions.

To download the demo, just boot up your Nintendo Switch, head onto the eShop, find the Cadence of Hyrule page and select “Download Demo.”

Having played the full game myself, I was pretty impressed with how content-heavy this demo is. A brief tutorial will take you through the basics on how a NecroDancer game works. From there, you’re thrust into Hyrule to groove and battle along to some classic Zelda tunes. Only a quarter of the world map is available to roam around in, but included in that chunk are caves to explore, shops to visit and one whole dungeon and boss fight to conquer.

Cadence of Hyrule plays like a love letter to the Zelda franchise and this demo is the perfect way to get a feel for the game and will likely leave you hungry for more.

So what are you waiting for? Go snatch up the demo and give it a try. Who knows, you might be tempted to buy the full version of this wholesome and toe-tapping Zelda romp.
