Cliff Bleszinski Talks Possibility of LawBreakers on the Switch!

Cliff Bleszinski recently told GameSpot, “We would probably consider the Xbox first, and then we’re very much in wait and see mode right now,” he also states, “It is a fine console, the Switch … the entire concept of it is just brilliant. Nintendo just really knocked it out of the park with this one.” While the idea of an Xbox version would be interesting, this article is going to focus more on the prospect of bringing the game to the Switch.

A Switch version of LawBreakers would be an intriguing idea as the game has not kept players around as long as hoped, which is confusing as it offers a unique multiplayer experience for half the price as other big games in the genre, bringing the game to the Switch would give LawBreakers a second chance at life. While it is not necessarily dead on the PS4 and PC, the Switch is a console that players tend to take a chance on games they normally do not. The idea of a portable match of a high quality team based FPS might keep players around longer than on other consoles.

Bleszinski also talks about how to take advantage of the Switch’s unique features, as he tells GameSpot, ” I sit back and think about what kind of experience [we would have for LawBreakers on Switch],” he also states, “If we were to do Switch, would it be like a rocket arena, 1v1 with nearby people or something like that? I don’t know. But if we were to do it, we’d want to switch the game up in a fun and interesting way, that would make it work with the portability aspect of the console.” Boss Key Productions seems to have a few ideas already in the works, and it will be interesting to see what unique features the Switch version would include if they decide to pursue that route.
