New York Comic Con is providing geeks and nerds everywhere with a healthy dosage of news, and Sony Interactive Entertainment has something to share as well. Camouflaj’s Iron Man VR has a solid release date, set exactly a week after the juggernaut The Last of Us: Part II. Initially revealed at Sony’s first episode of their State of Play presentations, Iron Man VR is a first-person (obviously) VR action game that follows the iconic hero with a wholly original story.
Iron Man’s main antagonist in this game is Ghost, the same villain from Ant-Man and the Wasp, who pillaged Stark Tower and swore to annihilate Tony Stark. She will play a key role throughout the game as she can hijack the HUD and directly impact gameplay. Nick Fury, Pepper Potts, and Friday are among the leading cast members in the game. Players can acquire new suits and other goodies in the game as rewards for their efforts.
Pre-orders are not yet available, however a Digital Deluxe Edition has been detailed, which comes with special suits and gameplay boosters. You can expect additional information from Sony themselves once Comic-Con is over, such as a story trailer as was shown in the panel. As it is published by Sony, it is exclusive to PlayStation VR. It is also fair to expect that the company will advertise a PSVR bundle that comes with the game at launch so newcomers can jump into virtual reality with a fun game. Check out the trailer below:
