The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, an upcoming game from the creators of horror game Until Dawn, has received a trailer detailing two new multiplayer modes. It seems Supermassive Games has acknowledged the trend of players experiencing Until Dawn together and capitalized on it.
Two Man of Medan Multiplayer Modes
The first Man of Medan multiplayer mode that Supermassive Games revealed is a 2 to 5-player Movie Night Mode. In this mode, up to four other friends can join you in a world where your actions affect each other. Each player will control a separate main character, each with their own individual choices. Characters can even be killed off if another player isn’t there to help them or badly influences them.
There will also be a 2-player online co-op, where a friend can join you in the story mode and help you progress. You can check out footage of the two modes (along with cringey shots of people playing the game) in the PlayStation 4 video below.
The Dark Pictures Anthology Series
The game’s main mode is a single player story mode where your actions affect five main characters. Any and all of the characters have the potential to die during the story based on what decisions you make. It’s a very similar concept to some of the developer’s previous games, which have a similar vibe to them. Man of Medan is the first in a series called The Dark Pictures Anthology, with several others planned in the coming years. Supermassive seems to be banking on the first entry doing well if they have others planned.
The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan arrives on August 30, 2019, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Will you be picking up this horror game when it launches? Sound off in the comments below or tweet us on our Twitter.
