Nintendo kicked off the Gamescom announcements this year with ‘Indie World’, a bite-sized Nintendo Direct style video to show off some of the best indie games heading to Switch later this year. The 23 minute long presentation showcased a total of 29 games, including some juicy and surprising announcements. You can watch the full presentation below:
Two other announcements got our blood pumping. SUPERHOT and Hotline Miami Collection are officially heading to Switch, the latter being the perfect way to play Hotline Miami 1 & 2. Best part about both these games: you can buy them on the eShop right now, they both released today!
However, the biggest announcement today was saved until last. In classic Nintendo “just one more thing” fashion they concluded Indie World with a trailer for the Switch version of Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition. Considering the blossoming friendship between Nintendo and Microsoft, it felt like only a matter of time before this one made it onto Switch and according to the developers, it’ll run like a dream too. Thomas Mahler confirmed the game will run at 1080p, 60FPS while docked and 720p, 60FPS in portable mode. Sounds like they cut no corners with this Switch port and hearing news like this makes us more excited than ever to play this one all over again on September 27th.
