If you like giant mechs and outer space, you should like this game. Published by Blowfish Studios and developed by Drakkar Dev, War Tech Fighters is a… you guessed it, mech game set in outer space! The short demo I was able to play allowed you to fully customize your mech, changing the head, arms, torso, and legs, as well as change the color . The section I played had you trying to gather resources by destroying asteroids and going to abandoned cargo ships for the mother-ship. Several times along the way, you get ambushed by enemy aircraft and it was a little difficult to get out of the way of their rockets, even with using your thrusters. I felt like my mech just didn’t move fast enough to be able to get out of the way of the incoming missiles. I wish they had a dodge maneuver or something. The game felt good overall, though, and it’s coming to consoles Q2 of 2019.
