The Order: 1886 developer Ready At Dawn Studios have announced that they will have a new home in the near future. The Californian studio shared a sneak peak in a gif via Twitter, which shows a before and after of ongoing construction. In their Twitter post, the company teased some updates regarding unknown matters. Said updates will likely soon be posted on the official YouTube channel and other official social media outlets. The updates in question could entail the reasoning behind the move or an update on upcoming projects or perhaps even announcing that a publisher bought them. At this point, it’s only speculation to question further.
After the controversial launch of The Order: 1886, Ready At Dawn has buckled down to a smaller and more successful VR project Lone Echo, available on Oculus Rift devices. Currently, the development studio is working on expansions for the Lone Echo IP and a third-person action-adventure game based on a new IP, presumably exclusive to a certain console. At the time this article has been published, there are dozens of job openings on Ready At Dawn’s official website, indicating that their upcoming projects are rather ambitious.
Ready At Dawn is also notable for their graphically impressive and well-reviewed PlayStation Portable exclusives like Daxter and the God of War games, all of them spin-offs to their more successful PlayStation 2 counterparts. Regardless of what they update on, we can expect new, original ideas from them in the hopefully not-too-distant future. What do you think of this recent development? Are you anticipated some special news to come out of this promising AA-developer? Or do you still resent them for releasing The Order: 1886 at full price?
