Super Nintendo Games Heading to Nintendo Switch Online

At long last, Nintendo is adding Super Nintendo games to the Nintendo Switch Online (NSO) service tomorrow. In celebration of the one-year anniversary of NSO, a plurality of Super Nintendo games will come to the service at no additional cost. The entire library includes 20 games, much like the introduction of the NES games. The SNES library contains the following: BRAWL Brothers, Demon’s Crest, Breath of Fire, F-Zero, Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropics, Kirby’s Dream Course, Kirby’s Dreamland 3, Star Fox, Super E.D.F.: Earth Defense Force, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, Super Puyo Puyo 2, Super Tennis, Pilotwings, Stunt Race FX, Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts, Super Metroid, Super Soccer, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

From the get-go, fans can get their hands on some of the most influential video games of all time. To truly experience these classics authentically, Nintendo is selling a replica SNES controller for 30 bucks for all NSO members. Players can also enjoy new features that arrive with the new library of games, such as a rewind feature, in which players can rewind to previous moments in the game and erase their failures. Local multi-player is also supported for compatible games, like Super Mario Kart. Of course, we can expect Nintendo to trickle out more Super Nintendo games monthly. However, we do not know if Nintendo will continue releasing more NES games simultaneously now that the SNES library is introduced.
