Undertale Celebrates 5th Anniversary With Online Concert

It’s hard to believe it, but Undertale is about to celebrate its 5th anniversary since its initial launch on PC. The surprise indie hit gained a large following and critical acclaim when it launched back in 2015. A free online concert featuring some of Undertale’s music is going to be streamed as part of the upcoming celebration.

Creator Toby Fox has announced “Undertale 5th Anniversary Concert Stream,” premiering on the official Undertale YouTube channel on September 15 at 7 PM PST. The stream is being organized by Fangamer and 8-4 and will air “Concert footage remastered from MUSIC Engine’s “7th Concert” performance held on May 6, 2019 at Suntory Hall in Tokyo.”

In addition, there will be a release of new Undertale merchandise available through Fangamer’s website. One particular piece of merchandise fans might want to keep an eye out for is a shirt designed by Toby Fox himself. The sales of the shirt will help raise support for the “United Way Covid-19 response and recovery funds.” The design hasn’t been revealed yet but it’s sure to be zany and charming.

There are some tidbits related to the game in the Famitsu issue, so keep a lookout for those in the near future. We’ll keep you updated as the game’s development progresses and it gets closer to the eventual, elusive release.
