Here is all the big news you may have missed this past week.
L.A. Noire Announced for this Generation
The acclaimed detective action-adventure game will make its way to the Switch this year, as well as a remastered version on the Xbox One and PS4. This is a big win for Nintendo as it shows they have the support of some 3rd party publishers. The Switch version will be the same version as the 360 and PS3 version, but will add touch screen controls. The PS4 and Xbox One version will be enhanced to 1080p and the PS4 Pro version will render at 4K, including various visual upgrades such as lighting enhancements. L.A Noire will release on November 14 for all consoles.
Destiny 2 Releases
Destiny 2 released this Wednesday, and so far critics believe it is an improvement over the first in just about every way. Almost all the reception has been quite positive. While it is far from perfect, Bungie seems to have listened to fans and created a much more refined experience this time around. Destiny 2 is now available on PS4 and Xbox One for $59.99, and with a PC release coming sometime next month.
Nioh’s Final DLC Announced
The acclaimed action game’s final DLC titled, The Bloodshed’s End, will arrive this September. Developer Team Ninja stated that this will mark the end of William’s Journey. The DLC will also include a new mode called the Abyss, where you will test your skill against enemies in a battleground. The Bloodshed’s End will release on September 26.
Resident Evil 7 Definitive Edition Announced
The acclaimed horror game will receive a definitive edition this December. The Gold edition as it is called will include all of the games DLC, and will launch alongside it latest DLC, End of Zoe. End of Zoe, in which players will learn the fate of Jack’s daughter, will be included in the Gold edition. End of Zoe will take players to new areas and players will have to face new enemies. Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition, and End of Zoe will both release on December 12, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
NBA 2K18 Switch Version Will be Identical to the Others
2k has stated that NBA 2k18’s Nintendo Switch version will feature everything the other versions do. This is great news for sports fans with a Switch, as it was revealed earlier this year FIFA 18’s Switch version would not feature The Journey. Nintendo really seems to be trying here, as they have got a lot more triple AAA games planned for the Switch than they have had on their more recent consoles. NBA 2K18 will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 19, and the Nintendo Switch on October 17.
