Xbox Series S has finally been officially announced by Microsoft via Twitter. The existence of a second Xbox Series model has been known for about two years now, but Microsoft had been keeping their cards close to their chest up until now. Brad Sams, Executive Editor for BWW Media Group, leaked the news and price point earlier yesterday in a tweet. He claimed the Xbox Series S would launch at $299 and also provided the first images of the new console.
Xbox Series S Is Official
Today, Microsoft bit the bullet and confirmed the price and look of the console. Microsoft is boasting “next-gen performance in the smallest Xbox ever,” and promises to show off more information in the near future. They didn’t confirm much more than that, but there is plenty of other information that has been leaked by multiple sources.
