The next big update for No Man’s Sky, entitled Beyond, is coming on August 14th. Hello Games, the developer of No Man’s Sky have just confirmed the release date on the game’s official website.
Back in March, Hello Games announced that the next update for No Man’s Sky would be coming this summer, its main draw being that it includes the long-awaited feature of VR support. As well as VR support, Beyond will include two other major additions: No Man’s Sky Online and another that is yet to be announced. No Man’s Sky Online will allow players to interact with each other seamlessly, much like in an MMO. Hello Games also dropped a trailer to accompany this release date announcement, which you can check out below.
The first major update came in November 2016, dubbed the “foundation update” it added new game modes and allowed players to construct bases along with a few other features. No Man’s Sky has been doing quite well for itself since then, with fans praising the dev team’s loyalty to keeping the game alive. The game even received a release on Xbox One last year, along with a major update entitled: No Man’s Sky: Next
